California Workers Compensation Claims Professional (WCCP)
The world of workers’ compensation is both complex and dynamic. Whether an organization has one, or one hundred employees, in-depth knowledge and skills are vital in its response to the State of California requirements in relation to workers’ compensation. For decades, IEA has been leader in providing professional development training in workers’ compensation, pioneering the leading edge qualifications in the industry.
WCCA Certificate and WCCP Designation
The California Workers Compensation Claims Administration (WCCA) and California Workers Compensation Claims Professional (WCCP) programs of The Institutes are the gold standard professional credentials in the industry. Some 8,000 California workers’ compensation professionals have earned the WCCA certificate, while almost 3,000 have gone on to attain the WCCP designation. These programs meet most of the criteria established by the California Department of Insurance for workers’s compensation claims adjuster pre-certification and continuing education allowing you to earn CE hours.
IEA offers online classes nationwide for WCCA and WCCP courses. Candidates who wish to earn credentials must purchase the recommended study materials from The Institutes and and pass the exams administered by The Institutes. For information on these and other programs developed by The Institutes, download a catalog here.
Download Work Comp FAQsTo earn credit toward the WCCP designation, you must pass the required exams administered by The Institutes.
IEA’s four-course series of WCCP classes prepare candidates to pass The Institutes’ exams leading to the California WC industry’s dominant designation: California Workers’ Compensation Claims Professional (WCCP). IEA’s instructors are ready to lead you through the WCCP courses while delivering insights you can use today.
- Who should attend:
- The WCCP is an advanced professional designation. While the WCCA is not a specific pre-requisite for WCCP candidates, IEA recommends it in lieu of comparable experience.
- Workers’ compensation professionals, including those employed by insurance companies, third party administrators and self-insured employers
- Anyone who needs CA workers’ compensation CE credits
- Workers’ compensation professionals that want the gold standard designation in California workers’ compensation claims
